Hey Slugworth.

I'd say that depends on what sort of weekly event this is. You want new car buyers of course. Do you want previous customers in? Make space for customers to bring their cars back to show off could maybe help drive sales?

Things I'd expect to see at a dealership weekend event:

1) Food - And it should be free. Nothing complicated...but grill some hotdogs up and hand out soda.

2) Willingness to deal - If you're attracting people in I hope that you're willing to negotiate on prices or why bother

I'd say a great idea would be to talk to some local guys and see if you can get some discounts for new buyers on things like tinting. Really the more things you can give away, the better. Most Hyundai cars aren't 'enthusiast' vehicles but the Coupe definitely is.

Maybe have some packages to give away of things like wax, car wash supplies, etc.

I agree 100% with David.

It's great to offer a space for the owners to display some of their cars. Give away things such as shirt/hats or even service coupons or something. Give them some free food or drinks. Just a good place for them to come out and show off their cars to draw in some attention for those who don't have a Genesis yet.

Wholeheartedly agree with both of you and we are prepared to do that very thing. Just need help getting the ball rolling ultimately this is for you our customer so need to know if there is any interest.

Relocate to Florida and I'd say definitely ;)

wish we had a dealership here that would do that, it really is a great idea and an awesome initiative on a dealership's part to seek out what it pretty much a great venue for sales and customer rep.
David's the man and completely right. Free stuff equals people showing up.
Monthly draws would be a good thing too, for stuff like taillights or spoilers or something. Anyone who's ever heard of a business knows it's a write off for you, you just need to make it work your angle.
Do yourself one massive favor though.. don't flood it with uppity sales people that only care about numbers and a paycheck, you're going to be attracting enthusiasts and 9 times out of 10, they know more about the car than the salesman. I know I did when I bought mine.

He has set up a couple of meets at other dealers in So. Calif.
