Thread: FS: BRIGHT LED Conversion Kit!!! (upgrade your lights, great easy mod!)

I picked up this kit this week. Did the glove box, license and trunk super quick...the dome and vanity lights I'm not quite sure about. I am trying to pry the entire plastic molding off right? I ask because those things seem to be on there super tight and I'm afraid of breaking something as I was putting quite a lot of torque on the plastic without much in the way of results.
Any suggestions or a pic or two of where the hooks might live inside of these lights? thanks!

hey scooter if u do not have a sunroof u will have two screws that will be in the sunglasses holder take those out and there will be three more tiny screws u have to take out of that and that should be it

I do have a sunroof - thanks for the info. Any thoughts on the vanity lights? Those seem to be in pretty darn tight. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm trying to get the vanity lights out too...but they're just not cooperating Also my trunk LED seems to not work...I put the bulb back in and it came on so I'm not sure what's up with the LED.

My only other issue is the license plate lights...I can't get those off either. Its hot out so I'm taking a break!

ya dude all u have to do is push on the part with the switch and push over towards the door and down and that should do it.

CODEFOX: Casey told me that there are four clips that u have to pop out i thank two in the front two in the back.

I've got the vanities off though I may have another bad LED

Sounds silly - but make sure you swap around the 'not working' lights - if the don't work one way, flip them to see if they work the other way. I thought I had a bad trunk light - but I just had to swap the light (positive/negative thing I guess).

The tag lights came off pretty easy for me - need a small flathead screwdriver and lay on the ground so you can see. There is a hook there that you press in and they should back right on out. Now the wires to the lights were really short and I didn't have a lot of play....plus one of them I had to twist like a SOB to get off...but they did come off eventually.

I got my dome stuff off - I'm not sure how the new lights hook up though - what is in there now are two bulbs - not entirely sure how hookup/mount the two 'flat' new LEDs.....

We need to call and see if Paul is checking each bulb before it's shipped out. I think between myself and 3-4 others who've ordered at least 1 bulb was dead and/or the wrong color. No offense paul! The products are awesome, an excellent value and you've always been good to resolve the issues.

The flat LEDs should have a wire coming off of them that connect to a plug. That plug is the same shape as the base of the bulb that goes in the socket. Just stick that in the hole and you're done. Well, after you stick it to the top of the little compartment there.

I'll try the vanity light one more time but I'll mess with the tag lights later this week.
