Thanks for the response guys. Arvin I was aware of your suggestion but my question referred to when the GPS is open, it doesn't show a clock there but I think I'll have to do what Snoopy suggested.
I'll try zooming in further and see how it looks.![]()
[QUOTE=preston_nfs;21685]Got my navi installed last night and loving it so far. Have a few questions for things I couldn't find and hope someone can answer for me.
1) When the navigation is on the screen can you set it to show the time?
If you click on the time, which I believe is located on the top right corner, the whole screen will just display the time.
4) Is there a setting to show all street names on the map? It seems to only show the major roads and highways.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this can be changed by the ZOOM IN/OUT settings, no? I hope I understood your question =)

the GPS software does have a timezone setting... I don't know what thats for.. maybe to help judge arrival times.. because it doesn't let you set the clock.. it takes the time from the unavi which seems to take it from the radio...

I know Arvin is pretty busy right now, so I've copied his Bulletin Page to How-To: Update PowerAXEL's UNAVI

Ya know... it kinda irks me that a week ago I found the solution to the dimmer control problem.. but because this forum gets checked less often than gencoupe,... some other guy gets the credit...

Sorry you feel that way. I hadn't seen your message until now, so let me set the record straight.
The earliest post I can find in which you provide information for the fix is listed here:

Also, I had been posting on that thread for well over a week prior to releasing the fix awaiting to see if PowerAXEL and I could do business, alas, I never heard anything.
If you feel that I am in error and you are still correct, please feel free to contact me with your "proof" and I will be sure to contact PowerAXEL and the "powers to be" to get the information updated to give yourself "credit". I give credit where credit is due, and I am sure after you do your "research", you'll change your tone in the above post.
Thank you and have a spelndid day!
Hey crashp, I wasn't being serious. I'm sorry it came off that way. Great minds think alike and I'm just glad a solution got out to everyone. I'm also trying to do business with Arvin and also haven't gotten word back, but I think he's got higher ups that have to give the ok.
but uhh... just for the record..

It's cool - nor was I.
And that picture just shows me a pinout ;)
In anycase, have you attempted to reverse engineer the blue LCD? I have been trying to find ways to access it to display similar information and/or replace it with a software solution just like the unavi.
I have been doing some research on canbus hacking, and your pictures of the blue LCD may very well greatly assist with that!
If so, hit me up by PM and maybe we can work on this together - as I think you were tinkering around to do the same ;)
That pic goes with the post on this thread: [PowerAXEL] Genesis Coupe Navigation Now Available!!!
Also posted on the same day the pic was uploaded. I gave half of the solution because I didn't want to modify it without first finding out if the Trip Module used that power to control anything on the inside. I was waiting for Arvin to get back to me before making a "how-to", apparently he found yours first.
I honestly haven't been working on the IDD since I've been pouring so much time into the uNavi. I'm trying to become the first PowerAXEL distributer for Saskatchewan with the uNavi as my flagship product from them, so getting all of the "kinks" out such as the backup cam location not responding, finding an appropriate and cost effective camera, correct I/O cord for A/V IN/OUT at a cost effective price as well as simplifying install for dealership installs. Having correct software and a few of the other fixes have helped in making this a more user friendly unit.
I have some idea's on the IDD, I was thinking of just getting the relocate kit and going from there.. but at the moment until the uNavi, VID, gauge and LED projects are done I can't take on anymore. I will however provide you pictures of whatever you need of the IDD and if you need help let me know and hopefully I can offer assistance.
