For those individuals looking for somewhat of a stealthier upgrade over the stock diaphragm based diverter valve, but don't want the extra noise of a fully atmospheric blow-off valve, we are now able to offer a recirculating option that provides all of the performance benefits of an adjustable piston based unit, but keeps the basic recirculating function for quiet, stock-like sound levels.
$150 with 10% off & free shipping in the continental US = $135 shipped
Forge Motorsport | Recirculating Valve
The recirculating unit offers the same basic features of the atmospheric unit, such as:
- billet aluminum construction
- Viton silicone o-ring sealed piston-based internals - no diaphragm to fail
- 3 interchangable springs and included shims to adjust for varying boost levels
- o-ring sealed cap with swivel vacuum nipple
- fully rebuildable
- lifetime warranty
When adjusted properly to the application, this valve will hold just as much boost as our adjustable atmospheric unit, but because this valve is still a recirculating unit like the stock valve, it will be inherently quiet, so you should not expect any different sound levels than you would get from the stock unit, although an aftermarket air intake can sometimes amplify the sound of a recirculating valve.
Boost pressure enters the semi-circular opening, and recirculates back through the center opening.
Comparison to the atmospheric version
The Forge direct replacement blow-off valve is designed to be a more durable and performance oriented valve than the OEM unit. The OEM valve is suitable for stock boost levels for a period of time, however, once boost pressure is raised, and after prolonged use, the stock valve will no longer be adequate.
Raising the boost output of the vehicle will have a number of effects on the OEM valve. First and foremost, the additional boost pressure will quickly exceed the capcity of the OEM spring to keep the valve closed under higher boost levels. Since you cannot change the springs in the OEM valve, it cannot be adjusted for higher boost levels. Secondly, the additional heat generated by the increased boost will quickly deteriorate the OEM rubber valve diaphragm, which will also lose strength with repeated oscillations.
The Forge valve uses full billet aluminum construction and Viton silicone o-rings that will withstand the highest boost levels and repeated abuse. It is also tunable for varying boost levels with the included spring tuning kit. If there is ever a problem with the valve such as a torn o-ring, replacements are available free of charge, and the valve is fully rebuildable.

Again, a recirculating valve is not designed to make a specific sound. Because it vents back into the intake side of the turbo, the sound will be muffled by the acoustics of the given intake system on the car.
You would put this out just after I just finished installing your original BOV today!Any chance of a trade in?
how long will this sale be going on?

Bump.
Would it be possible to get these anodized? I don't think PC would be a good idea, but the silver is so bland. :p
\I'm going to be ordering within a week or so..![]()

Sorry Ive been out of the loop for a little while guys.
Sorry, no trade-ins, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to sell a slightly used valve.
I'll keep this pricing up until the end of June.
We could actually anodize the valves, but it just creates more complication for us in terms of production. It adds cost, it adds another part number that we have to stock, and then we will typically always be out of stock of the color highest in demand at any moment. To streamline our product line, we are consolidating most items to a single color option. Sorry.
Thanks Mike, I was actually thinking about doing it post sale, I was just curious how difficult it would be for me to get it done. I figured you would only sell the standard.
