I bought 18" Dunlop Winter Sport M3. I think these are going to preform very well in the snow.
Here's a link on TireRack that gives you a bit of an over view.

I've never bought winter tires before so I have no idea what to look for, does anyone have any suggestions for tires that'll work good in -40C?

Im curious to know how bad the stock tires are gonna be. Living in jersey we only get like 2 to 4 weeks of snow.
I did some research and TireRack.com can really help you find the write tires. I found Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus Blackwall tires to be higher rated proforming tires then the stock ones and are all season which should do the job for the winter. A set is gonna be just over 1k.

On my Coupe I was suppose to have all seasons but I got Summer Performance instead, so mine are pretty much useless from mid October to end of April here in Sask, if you dip below 7 celcius you're apparently suppose to have winter tires...

yea I red the issue is with the type of rubber they use. Its realy soft and tacky. When it gets cold tho it becomes hard and brittle which ruins traction. Check out TireRack.com tho they have the GenCoupe in there database which helps and they have a set of winter and all season that will fit it both for about 1k for all 4.

Think Id be foolish if I tried to go the winter with the stock tires? lol... Also I havent gotten my car yet to maybe I can talk the sales person into getting me all seasons. But I want the 19" (im gonna be getting a track) so I dont know if they are gonna have all seasons for that... Otherwise I might just keep the stock set in my shed until the roads thaw...

For winter rims, if you have the track package, just make sure you get 18" rims. Smaller rims will not clear the callipers. Also, the front tires are a different size than the rear, by a few millimeters. I would reccomend spending the extra money and going to Hyundai for rim and rubber combos.
