Default Do Members Mind the Single Banner Advertisement

    Hey everyone,

I just wanted to ask you guys for some input on the advertising media here on the website. The traffic and clicks that our users generate plus many of the guests to the forums helps generate some revenue for me to pay for web hosting, decals, lanyards, planning meets etc....

Do you guys feel like the Adsense banner in the top center of the forums is too intrusive? I wanted to give the option for all registered members to see absolutely zero ads but I feel like if I get rid of them then we may not generate enough revenue to pay for our decals and stuff.

I am in no way making a lot of money so I want you guys to honestly respond!

So should we keep it? Let me know.

I don't mind it at all.
It's better than having that funky randomly linked words in the posts be your advertising. I hate when you accidentially mouseover one while you are scrolling down and the browser slows down to load the flash ad.

The single ad doesn't bother me. I say if its generating you some money then keep it.

Oh yea I would deffinately not ever go with those type of ads that are overwhelming. I'm trying to kind of carefully slipstream them in to where you can hardly notice them. It really does help with the cost of producing those decals for the club members. Even though I still pay some out of pocket

No problem for me either, I actually hadn't really noticed it as just about every site has one...

Thank you for the support all! This month's advertising is helping cover the decal re-order plus I'm seeing about getting Lanyards with "Genesis Coupe" written on them.

Those banner ads are No problem as far as I am concerned, and if the help generate some cash to keep this site up and running then go for it.

I personally like the vertical banner on the index rather than randomly input ads in threads like some sites use, but the $ graphic in the "Vendors" title block makes me think of greed or high cost performance parts for some reason... probably because that block equates to the forum income and not the cost of the parts they sell. I think I would change that with a image of a Tachometer, drag race starting lights or something that would make us think of the cars performance so want to click the links...

    just my $1... lol
