Thumbs up FS: Manual Boost Controller - Toronto Area

    Hello,

I have a Manual Boost Controller from Buschur Racing for sale.

This is good for the Genesis Coupe 2.0T.

Purchased two weeks ago, put it on for 1 hour and pulled it off.

Reason for letting it go: I am going to wait for an ECU tune.

Purchased it from Burschur Racing around 130CAD after conversion.

Will let it go for $100CAD.

    Thanks!

    Kevin

Can you explain how this works? Is it a DIY mod?

It's a very easy DIY install. I have some links on other forums showing the install instruction, but I need more posts before I can post them. So hopefully, will get it to you this afternoon.

I'm not clear on how these work. Is there any information to boost/power increase?

a manual boost controller allows you to manually control how much boost your Turbo is creating and typically overrides the ECU's predeterminded boost pressure. This is a benefit on the 2.0T because their ECU's fluctuate the boost pressure for what Hyundai calls "Damage Control System". An update has been dropped from Hyundai to flash the ECU that makes it less wonky and not competely bypass your Turbo under certain conditions. Apparently stock turbos for the 2.0T can run upto 18.5lbs of boost and this controller would let you hold it at that.. but if you do lots of traveling or change altitudes on a frequent basis you would then have to manually adjust your boost to keep your turbo from crunking itself. What would be nice is a manual boost controller with an auto mode that lets the car control the boost when you don't want to/need to.

What would be a good (read safe) max boost setting for a manual boost controller?

depends on if you're flashed or not. If you have OEM tune then I don't recommend going over 18-20 PSI otherwise the car will go into limp mode. With a tune.. no idea.
