Thread: Hello from Georgetown, Ontario!

Hey everyone!

I just came across this site last night, and was impressed with the info and knowledge provided at this early stage, even with less then 150 members so far, I know that this community will only grow for the better as membership increases.

Anyways, funny story about how I came to be a Genesis coupe owner. The lease on my 2006 Infiniti G35 6MT Coupe is coming up in late July, so the hunt for a new car began. I was looking to purchase this time around, and I wanted to keep payments below $500 if possible. So I checked out Subaru (WRX265, which is a Canadian model), the VW GTi, GLi, a MazdaSpeed3. While test driving a GTi, a Red Genesis 3.8 Coupe rolled down the road in the lane next to me. Looked to have been lowered, and on aftermarket rims....

Now you must know the salesman from VW was in the backseat during my drive, up to that point I was very interested in the GTi, asking a bunch of questions, but once that Gen Coupe rolled past me, I completely lost my interest in anything else on the road. The next morning I went straight to my local Hyundai dealership, and low and behold, the had 3 Genesis coupes on the lot. A base 3.8 in manual, a base 2.0T in automatic, and a Nordschleife Grey 2.0T GT (Canadian version of the track), with big letters on the window saying "Do Not Drive". Needless to say, I drove it, and she now has a sold sign hanging in the window. Pickup is late July at my request, so I won't begin paying until my G is off the lease. I can't wait, pics will definatly be posted soon.

Wow, I pretty much just typed way to much for a new member intro, but I love the car and can't shut up about it :P . Looking forward to adding tint, a new grille, wing emblems, and an intake pretty much right away, my WRX wagon has been dying to be tinted as well, so 2 car discount FTW!
