Thread: It's official: I'm in love.

I'm ready for you to "officially" join the family. The genesis is honestly one car that YOU can fall in love with without too many inhibitions! Can't wait until your able to take the wheel!!

Ive got 4 weeks to go until I can get my GC...Just gotta hold on a bit longer! Enjoy your new ride!!

So...just over a week into being a new owner and it is clear I know not what I do...I am totally new to this car enthusiast thang. However, here are some things I have learned and loved thus far:
#1- "Sometimes dealer mechanics are really good." My steering wheel turned to the left while driving (without me turning it that way), so took it back to the dealer where the mechanic talked me through everything while I sat in the back of the "operating room" and watched. He said that some of the 2010 GCs had similar prob...was not alignment issue, but steering wheel was a little "off" and should have been caught earlier - minor. He also said that he likes the training he got from Hyundai because the company has a decent moral compass...talked about their belief in kaizen (which I embrace) and the approach to documenting each reported issue to a bit of extreme to catch any patterns of errors/issues, etc. Was interesting conversation with so much more info....I took studious notes. lol.
#2- "Mods are not so scary." ...at least not yet. I am starting off small, but this is a girl who knows nothing and is so excited to learn more. Just don't want to hurt my baby in the process.
#3- "This car is an attention getter." I was in ATL last week and was impressed with all the commotion around her. The valet (I hate valets) offerred to rinse some of the dirt off of her for me (which i said no to)...but i appreciated the intent. Got a lot of looks everywhere I went and saw a decent number of GCs as well.

my car has been garaged for about 3 months now i miss it

nice to see another chick in a coupe.. lol.. don't worry everything I learn I'm taking notes from you guys, from the dealership, ect. I want to know my coupe inside and out, especially so I can know when someone is bs-ing me or knows less than I do.

@CrispedPenny: Aw man, no coupe for 3 months?!? That’s tough. Mine’s only been in the garage because of ice for the past 3 days and it stinks, lol!
