Hello everyone! I am soon to be another Genesis Coupe owner. I've been hovering around these threads for a while now. I'll apologize now, I've spent more time at a different site, but they've taken a few weeks to approve my account (for posting), so I've decided to switch over to this one! I'm able to post in the first day here, and still awaiting access from the other site.

Anyway, I've been drooling over this car for about 10-11 months now. Since I first heard about it...

Now I have my car on order, and will pick it up in 40 days. I've got to return to the states first....

It will be: Acqua Minerale Blue, 3.8 Track with Nav. Dealer is installing Genesis Emblems, and doing the tinting.

No reason to apologize though I'm curious what genesis site actually does account approval.

I'm guessing you're in Bama? I haven't seen an AMB Coupe yet but congrats! By the time it gets in you should have enough posts to put up pictures ;)

Likely gencoupe.com. People make accounts and cannot post. Have to get a mod to fix the account first.

Technically, I am in Afghanistan. But I live in Alabama (or my wife does). I'll be going home on vacation in a few weeks, and I'm tired of waiting to buy this car. This is what I want, and I'm buying it! As you can imagine, I'm extremely excited!

As for mods...Just the RRM Fuel & Timing mods are likely. I do realize that many people have issues with the lack of info from RRM on these, but they sound good. And realistically, they are pretty cheap. Sequence-X front diffuser add-on. Genesis badging almost goes without saying....almost.

This'll be my 2nd Hyundai, my wife has a 2009 Santa Fe Limited. We'll have 2/3 cars as Hyundai's. I'm upgrading from a 2001 Mitsu Eclipse Spyder.

And...yes, gencoupe.com. I've been awaiting activation for weeks. I've read nearly every conceivable post, and been unable to reply. Happy to be able to type again...

Welcome to the site dude! You'll love the 3.8 Genesis. I have the 3.8 and my fiance has the 2.0 turbo. They both drive amazing but the 3.8 just has more oomph. She said "Wait until I tune mine though." As for the RRM fuel/timing box I would honestly hold off on that until you get intake, exhaust etc... done first. By the time you get all of those done PowerAxel might have their ecu flash module complete which will be better than just tricking the sensors by plugging in a box inline.

Honestly the 3.8 feels great with a cold air intake and exhaust. Next up for me are headers most likely.

Let us know if you have any other questions and good luck on your purchase.

Well, I'll only get the enjoyment of this car on vacations. And those are rare, and too far in-between. Which means...I won't have a lot of time, when home, to mod my car. I'll be too busy trying to find an excuse to drive it! I'm having twins in May/June area.

So, how difficult is it to work on the Intake?
