The Integra forum I used to be on had annual meets there. They'd rent out all the rooms at one of the hotels, lots of out of towners, I think they had like 50 cars one year. It'd be fun if we could plan something like that.
I've got a new Black GT w/auto...and will be crossing the Dragon (a few times) this May 1st. I live near Dayton, OH... and thought if there was anyone else thinking about this drive at same time... we could meet along the way and enjoy the ride and a group meal somewhere along the way. If you're not familiar with The Dragon... google it. 317 curves in 11 miles along Hwy 129 between Maryville, TN (near Knoxville) and Robbinsville, NC. Beautiful area, lots to see and do in Smokey Mountain National Park. If anyone is interested, let me know...

Hello! I'm new as well, but I'm really familiar with Deals Gap/Tail of the Dragon. I actually just moved from Knoxville about 2 months ago and used to drive that road about once a month.
It's a great time! I'm envious that you get to drive it!![]()
I'm planning to do a trip up there this year. Unfortunately (well, fortunately!) my brother will be graduating from law school in May and its also his b'day so I expect I'll be busy that month. I'm thinking of going in the fall to see the leaves turning colors.

I get sore after about.. 9 or so hours.. but it doesn't take very long at all to recoup though, I think it's just tired from holding the wheel. I saw that road on TV the other day, apparently its really dangerous for motorcycles.

I've never heard of that stretch of road. But now that I have....I'm quite excited!
i heard about it like 5 or so years ago when it started getting popular...looks like an awsome ride!11
and yeah not good because of the switch backs and off camber turns (from what i hear anyway)
