Thread: Supercharged Genesis Coupe 3.8 doing 312kph (193mph)!!!

The Koreans I've heard tend to like to take their cars up to TOP SPEED! That's just scary. I'll admit I raced a GTO the other night on the highway and got up to 135mph.

193 mph is pretty insane. I wouldn't mind putting a turbo on once I am out of warranty. Not quite yet though.

Ive gotten my elantra HD to 140 mph once, never done it since... ive done 168 mph on a gsxr at the drag strip near by... but ive never even thought of going 193 mph that would be awesome yet so dangerous in my mind...

I've been on a few top speed runs with friends on the expressway out to the international airport. About 25km of 4 lane (each direction) staightaways with long with very few long sweeping curves. Get out there on a Friday or Saturday in the wee hours of the night or morning and you'll see all sorts of cars maxed out.

And the fascination that Korean motorheads have with top speed, might be born out of the fact that most major cities have so much traffic, that it's hard to get above 50kph~60kph... But this is only an unsubstantiated thought...

193mph in a car that probably wasn't designed for speeds approaching 200mph and on a public road is fairly insane~ Need big hairy 'cajones'! :eek:

I got a rented Hyundai Grandeur TG 3.3 (Azera in North America) up to 180kph on the same stretch of expressway and the car felt like it was floating... A very disconcerting feeling indeed!

the bike was fun, but my HD, it isnt made to do what i was doing. but it was fun though.

That's insane, that guy's probably gonna kill himself one day (natural selection?)

In mine Ive only gone to like 126 lol dont really wanna push it yet... I was just trying to get past a toll road camera lol...

I did about 137-38 on a V6 Grand Touring once, I have the vid somewhere
