True, but that darn coating scratches so easily!
If waxing is too labor intensive & teflon is too expensive, there's always the WD-40 option.......... Dissolves the rust & leaves behind a beautiful, lasting shine that your mechanic will love & your insurance company will certainly admire.

probably multiple layers...it was pretty bad. it would probably have come off in a few good hard stops but it would chew up the pads first

The brakes on these coupes definitely get dusty or rusty quick after just about any driving when it's wet out.
