My understanding is without a good tune the ecu won't allow over 17lbs anyway. Having a heavier spring will hold the boost longer. If you're like me, and still have a stock turbo, and programming then a mild spring is fine. What's nice about Forge is, it will grow with your tune without being replaced. I'm getting mine with the extra spring kit.

If I'm wrong, someone will correct me

The springs are rated to a static operating pressure OFF of the given vehicle.

When installed on the car, the valve's boost holding capacity will be based not only on the static spring tension, but the boost reference from the intake manifold as well, which will assist the spring. This reference will vary slightly, however, from car to car, hence the need to accomodate multiple various applications.

Sounds good, I'll be getting the spring kit with mine as well, just have to decide if I want recirculating or BOV. ;)

Both will include all the springs, so there is no need to order the tuning kit separately.

    Mike!

Any new work being done on the Genesis Coupe from Forge? We're loving the WGA and Blow Off Valves but what's next for us!

At the moment, I'm just awaiting the return of some parts from Forge UK. Unfortunately, though, they are closed until Monday, so I won't see anything from them for at least a few days yet.

They're working on fabricating a more production viable front mount intercooler kit based on the rough prototype we sent them. I'm really looking forward to that. Then we just need to do a final test fitment and we can put it into production.

They're also making me some really trick custom pieces to enable fitment of an oil catch tank setup with a few cool unique features. I'm excited about that too.

They're also making the prototype for our coolant hose kit. This will be unique in that it will only use 2 hoses, whereas the current options on the market are 3 hoses.

I'm just eagerly waiting a shipment of sample parts to play with.

Very excited about the catch can possibilities, I'm still trying to decide whih setup I want to use for that; I'm pretty much sold on your BOV though. Lol.

Interested in the details of your coolant hoses and the other new features you haven't shared yet!

2.0T Coolant and Boost Hoses are here, and will be available soon. Stay tuned for pricing and availability.

Why are there only 2 hoses instead of the typical 3, you might be asking yourself? Because we decided to make the upper hose one-piece rather than replicating the 2 hoses joined together with a metal pipe in the middle. This will result in two less hose clamps as a potential point of failure, and just overall a more custom look to the hoses that sets it apart from other offerings.

The boost hoses will be direct replacements for the OEM hoses to serve as more durable and reliable piece that prevent expansion under pressure with the stock hoses that can result in a loss of throttle response. The port on the throttle body hose will allow for the option of bypassing the stock valve location on the turbo and mounting a valve in front of the throttle body instead. We have not measured any functional benefit to doing so, but the hoses will permit doing so if the customer chooses. If not, this port can be blocked off.

Also, here's a quick sneak peak at our prototype oil catch tank setup and possible future intake kit. I'll be working more on the catch tank soon, and I'll be sure to give you some more updates on some unique functional features the kit will have. It will basically be a complete overhaul of the factory PCV system, and will incorporate a cool little feature that is severely lacking on a stock 2.0T
