Thread: Post your double take stories......

Well this is nothing exciting but I've noticed that the #1 place I get people crowding around the car is at the Gym. A bunch of teenage muscle head wannabees checking it out and telling me that their honda could rip it apart. I just ignore them lol.

Got a few:
1. Leaving the drycleaners, a lady looked over and mouthed to me, “That’s a beauuuutiful car.” I’ve never had anyone do that before.
2. I was driving into a parking garage and passed a guy walking out. He stopped dead in his tracks and then twirled around almost ballerina-like to look back at the car.
3. On the highway, three dudes crammed in the cab of a small pickup truck all craned around simultaneously to look back at the car. Driver included. -Yikes.- (“Mr. rpeeljoe” later asked: “Young Lady, Did you forget to put clothes on again before leaving for work??”)

Tell them to meet you at the track and prove them wrong.

I know you like to copy things from GenCoupe.com Kenny but at least you could put some effort into it and change the thread title? :P

A band of our neighborhood's kids ring our doorbell every so often and trick or treat.
They just rang our doorbell and instead of them yelling the normal, "TRICK OR TREAT", I was surprised and amused by this conversation:
Kids: Can we buy your Bentley?
Us: Well, it's not a Bentley. It's a Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
Kids: Welllll can we buy your Hyundai Genesis Coupe then?
Us: How much money you got?
Kids: A dollar.

Given their limited available funds, we were not able to accept their proposed business transaction, lol!

I was doing the dishes and I looked out the window to see a car pass by, the guy in the passanger seat stuck his head out the window to look back at it.

I've noticed ever since I put the wing badge on it gets twice as many looks.

^ Yep...the wing emblems are a player for sure in the double takes. This afternoon, at a light, the dude behind me in a black BMW whipped out his cell and started taking shots of my rear.

Sure it was the car he was taking pictures of?

I pulled into the parking lot of an insurance company that I had never done business with before. (looking for a new homeowners policy).
A fine looking woman parking near me eyeballed my car for quite some time. I went into the building & when I was called to the next available agent, it was that fine looking woman.
Aside from talking homeowners insurance, she couldn't stop asking questions about that cool car I was driving.
She asked who made it...... I told her the make & model was written on the back of the front seats & she'd have to climb in the back to find out. ;)

Right now, I think I'm paying too much for that policy.
