Default gc held its own against a 5th gen camaro

well i was on my way home from work today and there was a 5th gen camaro (v8) had at least an exhaust. smelled pretty rich so i figured he wasnt running cats either. well any way. we came to a stop light and his rear bumper was about a half a car length from the front bumper of mine. the light turned green and he got on it so i did to. i cought up to him and were neck and neck but when he shifted into 3rd he started pulling on me. so i let out of the throttle at about 50 and let him go.

all i have to say is that im pretty impressed that my stock 2.0T automatic coupe cought up to and kept up with a modded 5th gen camaro if it was only until he was in 3rd gear. cant wait to get an intake exhaust and computer flash! spring is around the corner and ill be at the track in no time.

The 3.8 can't keep up with a Camaro...if you caught up to him I hate to tell you but he wasn't even bothering ;)

well.. the 3.8 out paces the V6 Camero, but not the V8. 2.0's are best suited against Civics and Lancers.

both my brothers have new cameros one a V8 and the other a V6. i have a 2.0 and let my tell you there is no way the 2.0 can keep up with either. I was even put to shame by the V6 in a flat out drag. I lost by almost a full car length and dont blame it on shifting because all cars were automatic.

lol the 2.0T can't compete against a 2000 Camaro SS (my bro raced one in his 08 Civic Si which out launched the SS but obviously got murdered after that and the Si is just a bit slower than the GC 2.0T) so there's no way it can compete against a new Camaro v6 or v8..

btw if you think the Camaro can't handle... one with Pedders suspension will out handle any of our cars :P especially against a 2.0T auto lol no chance on the track, drag strip, or anything else

    Civics and Lancers? lol
    06+ Civic Si yeah..
and Lancer not at all.. unless Ralliart or Evo which obviously both are way faster than the 2.0T
