Does it sound like a hissing sound? Do u have a 2.0T? Lol
At about 2300rpm does anyone hear a high pitch noise? Only at that rmp and at light acceleration or deceleration. You hear it better in the passenger side. Any suggestions at what it could be? am I the only one?

no...... and yes i have the 2.0T. Its a vibration sound, just at the one rpm.
Huh. Never had that problem. I'm trying to picture the noise and think of where it might be comming from, but nothing. If it was a whistle when u accelerated I'd say intake or spooling. Same whistle when u decelerate, no idea.

Its a resonating noise at high hertz, like the ringing in your ears you get after a rock concert, lol I think i might go test drive another one to see if it does it as well![]()
Yeah, go do that. I never had that noise come from my car. Just spooling, suction, exhaust drone, and recirculation valve noises...

you could have a leak in your cabin filter, does it sound like it's coming from the glove box? Our air-circ systems are RPM sensitive, really bad in 2.0T's. The other thing it might be is your evap system.

yeah above or around the glove box area...
Try pulling your cabin filter out, check it for damage around the edges or in the filtering material. If no damage then try putting it back in, and putting everything back together then seeing if it makes that sound. If sound is still there, you might need a new filter. Take your car to your tech and get it looked at. If there is no more sound, then your filter was probably just misaligned.
