    Question I need Tibby HELP!!!

OK i few years back i got a new car and gave my aunt my 2000 Tiburon. which wasnt one of my brightest moments simply because shes let my baby fall apart...

Anyways one of the latest problems she has i dont know what it could be and need your help. Pretty much the whole electrical system of the front end of the car doesnt work- No horn, no headlights, no turn signals, no interior gauges, Not even the MPH will work the needle wont even move it just stays at Zero and no radio nor other interior electronics...the back taillights work fine though.

What am i looking at here? does this sound like a simple fuse or something more painful and expensive???. among other things that have happend with this car since ive given it away to her. well lets just say alot and it makes me want to cry to see my first car being destroyed like this. i do plan on get ting it back from her one day but i have to have enough money to buy her another car so im gonna have to wait a lil while... Well any help on this electrical issue you can give me would be great thanx....

Either a fuse, a relay or a ground fault (ie it's not grounding somewhere)

there is a 40amp fuseable link....under the hood in the engine compartment...this goes to the headlamps among other things...

pull out a volt meter and start checking for things....where do you live? does it drive?

could be simply....might not be....usally though when it affects this many things it usually just a bad ground a fuse popped...or it could be the whole damn fuse box.

hey thank you man ill definitely give this a shot. I am Pembroke pines. the car does run. just nothing electrical works except the taillights. i thought its strange that the MPH needle doesnt move my grandfather says that the needle is usually connected to the transmission. is this true for this car or no??

yes it reads from the differential speed sensor...but this seems to be that there is NO power to electrify the needle...

i would love to make it out there but its little too far and my aunt destroyed that car i wouldn't trust it to make the trip. other than those electrical problems it has a bad rear shock and most of the front bearings need to be replaced and from what she tolled me something is wrong with one of the Axles theirs also a huge dent in the passenger door and rear quarter panel.... it kills me to see whats been happening to my car i wish i could buy it back from her but im saving up all my money to get my coupe

you sold it to her or gave it to her? no meaning to pry but if she's trashing a gift just take it back.

those things i can fix as well...pretty cheap too.

axel is 75 bucks and 75 to install, front bearing are (iirc) around 50 bucks each and if its the same side as the axel 50 bucks to put in

probably needs a timing belt too....225 installed with oem belts.

so to fix it...it wouldnt be that much...and much less to then a shop...not to mention it would be done properly by a certified tech.
