That doesn't sound normal. My stage 3's go out when the door closes.
I got a a question for you. How did you change out the vanity and glove box lights?
For the guys that have installed the stage 2 dome lights I have a question.
When I open the door the dome lights come on and fade out after a few seconds as expected but once its faded out the light is very slightly still on. If I press the Door button to turn this off then it goes out fully. Is this normal?
Also one of the lights was DOA.![]()

I only got the dome lights so I didn't do the others.

flathead screwdriver, don't force it out, be smart about it. Mess with it from diff angles try to "pry/pop" it out. I didn't have too much of a problem. It would help if you had an extra set of hands on the vanitys, get them from the left and the right, and add pressure towards the center that is where the clips are. As for the glove box, that was the easiest one to do. follow the 1st thing I said.
-It's easy to imagine, but it's easier to just do. if you can't do what you imagine, then what's imagination to you?

Good to know you see it also kpbboyed.
This is a response I got from Paul: This is normal, it is due to the lower resistance of the LEDs.
Looks like there is no need to worry.![]()

I dont think it will, the light is so dim. I think the flashing red security light will drain more. Hehe

I got DD Blue Stage 3 led and are doing the same thing... no need to worry, it's like a led "glow in the dark" mod loll
Til the redline ;)
mine only do that when my autolamps are turned on, when I turn off the car, get out (you can fake the car into thinking you're out by just opening the door and closing it) when the car settles, takes about 3-5 seconds, the faint glowing is completely gone. My wife was the first to notice the faint glowing one night, "oh isn't that neat, they glow a bit to make it easier to find them"
they glow because they don't need much power to light up and the car always has current running to the bulbs when your autodoor light is enabled.
