Default Help: Installing Sub and Amp

So I've decided I'd like to put in my old sub and amp into my GC. Does anyone know what I'll need to get it hooked up to the stock head unit?

i do not believe it has external rca's you will have to come up with some sort of conversion or something...even if you have the upgraded system it runs everything through wires and not rca's

if your amp supports it, you could take a signal from each of the rear speakers (or just one if you only want left or right bass), just splice into the wire between your speaker and your head unit and have it go to your amp. I haven't taken my dash apart yet to see how it's hooked up.

Might take it to a professional audio shop and see what they recommend.

Might wanna look into getting a MTX re-Q5 that is gonna give you bout the best results as it takes out all EQ stuff that the fac radio thinks u want it to and wil just give you a clean signal to you amp or amps as you upgrade the rest of your system.

heyyy if its not too late i know what youd need to make it work out!

your going to need to buy a line out converter (LOC). you splice the LOC wires to the wires connecting to the rear center speaker, the other end usually has VCA cables that you can connect to the amp

also if you need to have a remote wire, i suggest to connect it to any wires under the steering column.

google pics for a LOC to get a better idea of what im talking about and fyi,
you wanna buy a LOC with no more then 2 wires coming out the other but if you buy one with more you can just splice them together.
