Light color change?
Anyone here open up there guage assembly yet or the head unit? I was curious if the LEDs could be changed to get a differnt color not the biggest fan of the blue was wondering if I could go red...

hehe solderpaste is the key and SMD LEDs are alot easier then 64pin SMD ICs and Ive done them so I think I'll be good... I was really hoping they could be capped tho like most other cars... Then again I'll probly wind up going with a stock Nav unit which means I'll have to keep the blue to match the nav :-/

I've seen a Genesis Coupe with full red/orange guage lighting from Korea. It was a custom job they did but I think you might be able to find it on youtube.

Yeah I like the blue but for the red interior the red lights would look great with it

Mazda does this too... they just have specail Bulbs that can be replaced...
