iPhone 3.1 Software Update Doesn't work on GC!!

I have the 32GB iPhone 3GS and I recently just updated it to the lastest firmware 3.1. I didn't notice much change until I hoped on my car. I plugged the iPod cable in and waited to hear some of my music playing.
BUT INSTEAD it came up with a message stating "no audio file available" and switches back to XM. I tried unplugging it, restarting it, turning the car off and on and everything else but had 0 luck. =[ Did anyone else have similar issues?
I guess I'll have to downgrade and wait for a new update to come out.

Ewww I really hope not. I'm still running 3.0 and this scares me. I don't want to lose the ability to hook up all my music! What would I do with myself?

I have a 8GB Ipod Touch with 3.1 and it still works.. since they use the same software it might have been a poor update.

Good News!

Something must of happened when I was updating. I did a full restore and it worked fine. I am guessing this happened because my iphone was jailbroken before the update.

If you have a jailbroken iphone, you need to do a full restore and not a update or your ipod function won't work on yout GC.
