Thread: Complete Electric Failure!

I was so upset with myself for making a silly mistake like that. It really sucked cause NOTHING was working. Blah. Won't let it happen again

Okay so yesterday I got my Diode Dynamics LED kits and was installing my new bulbs. License plate light went fine, then to vanity. I have no idea what i was thinking but I was like damnit I cant see let me turn on the dome light for some extra light lol. Basically shorted out the vanity bulb with a screwdriver. Anyways I went and got some extra fuses and a fuse tester and I tested every single fuse in the engine bay and drivers side and they all were fine....

I was fearing it was something really terrible. I came back up stairs and was reading through the users manual and I stumbled across

"P/CON MEMORY"

This is the fuse that is like locked down with the yellow clip on the far right hand side of the cabin fuse box. I figured eh what the hell so I took it out and tested it and sure enough the 10A MEMORY fuse was dead.

The owners manual lists this fuse related to Trunk room lamp, Power outside mirror, MAP lamp, Auto light & Photo sensor/Security indicator, Multimonitor, RF receiver Instrument Cluster, A/C control module, BCM, Rear parking assist buzzer, Door warning switch, vanity lamp, TPMS, Home Link

Let's just say I'm really glad that its fixed now. I was affraid Hyundai would rake me over the coals with fees to fix it.

LOL I just did the same thing and it was also with the Vanity. I accidently tripped the switch to On.
Oh well just got a 5 pack of 10A fuses.

so i think we all learned a valuable lesson here...

When pulling my laptop bag from the passenger side of my coupe...I couldnt find my black daily planner. I hit the dome light(stage 3 led blue lights installed) to brighten things up. amazingly the highlighter in my laptop bag had gotten loose and ran a muck all over my laptop bag(unknown to me). When I turned on the dome light the highlifghter popped out.

FYI-----> Stage blue LED lights reveils highlighter(acts like a blacklight). I plan on tagging my Genesis Coupes interior in select places with a highlighter!!!! It looks cool...to me anywayz

okay... sort of scary but whatev..

Different strokes...won't be any highlighter touching my car though!
