^ It would be USB. Only the old school iPod's used Firewire.

if you use the white apple one you have to have a 3.5mm male-to-male cord running from the iphone to the car as well

humm im wondering why my Black one that hyundai gave me isnt working it shows the song on the screen that playing but no sound and when i pulg it in my phone it says something about device not being supported and where do u plug in the 3.5 mm cable the back?
