haha wow simon! and I thought I was eager for the unavi!
the wiring looks good and simple, you could use inline splices if you don't have a wire shaver.

yup... but i've make sure all solder properly done.
i've connected a female audio jack, so I dont need to splice the wire that come with the uNavi ;)
and still have the noice reducer

I was thinking that if you wired it right to the Front Left and Right speakers, it'd play sound from the navi all the time regardless of what input you were using... but then it wouldn't play movie sound to the back... hmmm..

what you did was deffinately not for nothing, it's given me quite a few ideas!

the way i wired it is just to save to pass the wire under the central console... it's like if I plugged the wire into the factory aux input... beware that if you plugged the unavi directly to the speakers, you wont be able to adjust the sound, unless you have a device that do it... also, you have to think about the amps... base model have internal amps( inside radio ) from what i read...

and by the way, yes you'll probably able to use the shark fin for the gps... not 100% sure but 95% sure

ohhh.... I forgot about volume control... damn.

From those pictures in your how-to I got a really good feeling about that connector. Were the screws that hold your radio really hard to undo? I tried when I had the center stack apart for painting and couldn't get them undone.
