Default USB Drive for Playing MP3's?

Hey friends - sorry if this has already been discussed, but the search function isn't helping me right now. My wife has been using her iPod Touch in her Genesis Coupe for a while, but has recently lost it (*facepalm*) and wants to buy a new one. I recommend possibly buying an 8- or 16-gig USB flash drive and just keeping it in her car at all times. However, I doubt that it would be easy to keep playlists, and I really don't know how the car would handle using a flash drive for music.

Could someone provide some insight into how it would work? Can she create folders with maybe genre titles? Or would the Genesis be able to read the ID3 meta tags on the songs to determine what genres they are in? Thanks!

I have a 16GB USB drive ( no name brand) that keeps all of my audio books on it, the GC will let you sort by album or artist automatically if the ID3 tag is completed before you transfer it on. The owners manual has the MP3 specs inorder for the car to use it and the specific file system. I beleive it's FAT32 at 2048KB.

Thanks snoopy - this is for my wife's GC so I hadn't yet looked at the owner's manual. I appreciate the insight!
