Default Bluetooth Issue (not related to any prior post)

I just picked up my new 3.8 Track yesterday and was trying to figure out all the gadgets last night. I have an issue with my Bluetooth that I did not see anyone report on any prior post so I thought I'd give it a shot and see if anyone may have come across this problem regardless.

I have a Samsung Alias 2 phone by Verizon. The phone and the car both recognize each other and pair up. But as soon as that happens and I have phone in Bluetooth mode, the car keeps ringing as if there is an incoming call but there is not. I can't either reject or accept the call nor can I switch the screen away to any other option (Radio, Nav, etc). The only way to stop the "incoming call" is to disconnect the Bluetooth on my phone.

    Any Ideas?

Ouch... I have not yet run into that problem. Captive and I just had our Coupes Bluetooth software updated last night and things seem to be running smoothly. When you have the radio off press and hold preset 1 and 4 for four seconds and then press preset 1 four times. You should see the display show your radio version. You can then press info and in the bottom right of the screen it will say "BT1xx" We just got updated to BT180 or BT182. Also another test to see if you are past the 180 I think is with the radio playing press and hold down the talk button for 10 seconds to see if it changes languages to french/spanish. This will confirm your bluetooth is updated already.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will follow those steps later on when I get out of work.

DOH and double DOH. Well try the call button for 10 seconds thing.... maybe that'll still help confirm the BT is updated at least.

I tried pressing the talk button button for 10 seconds but there was no language change. I'm going to try someone else's phone tomorrow. If same issue I guess I'll have to bring it to service.

PMast, not sure what you mean by make sure my phone is "up tp date". It's a fairly new Samsung model that works fine with my earpiece bluetooth device. The phone is also on the eligible list in the car's manual.

    Default Update

Hey CM, I tried it yesterday with my girlfriend's phone and the Bluetooth worked fine. The manual says my phone IS compatible but I noticed that it was NOT listed on the Hyundai website for compatibility.

Is there any way to get my software updated to see if a new version accepts my phone? As I said yesterday, I tried holding the talk button for 10 secs yesterday but there was no language change.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

go to your dealership and ask if there is a firmware update available. Hopefully your dealership isn't a bunch of nobs that don't like working. I'm not familiar with the Nav equiped GC's, wish I could be of more help.
