I don't have an account on GC.com, this be my only GC info site.. probably why I post so damn much on here.

If KAI fabs bezels then having them fab a modified one should be pretty easy, just have to cut off the down section with the black center. If anyone knows anyone there ask them if they'd be interested in partnering. On Monday I'll send out some e-mails and see what I can get done.

Hey man, am I not getting something? That looks like a door to me, not a steering wheel :-/

lol ATs are a joke. MT ftw.

As for the wheel conversion... you might be able to do it if you're into cutting and welding... but it wouldn't make it any smaller.

an issue we realised with just cutting and welding is that the plastic bezel would need to be modified too, the mock-up is with the idea of a custom bezel.

Why does everyone think the AT is a joke? Seriously they are a pleasure to drive and when you need that extra control you switch it over to sport mode and gooooo!

Also the flat bottom stearing wheel concept looks neat! Talk to James at KoreanAutoImports and maybe they will be able to produce a replacement? That would be awesome. Just tell them you know Casey!

A/T waste a lot of power, and the shifts are still controlled by the ECU, Even in manual mode. Start driving Casey's car. After a couple months with a stick, and you'll always want one

I agree with everything both of you said, lol. A/T does take more power, shifts are controlled by ECU, daily driving is simpler, and manumatic mode is pretty good... but.. if you know how to control your pedal correctly you can override the ECU shift points by forcing it into incline mode (a preset ECU mode for when the car is required to produce more power to do something it was already doing with less, ie. going up a hill in cruise control) once she's in incline mode shifts are a lot easier and you stay in your ideal powerband.
When I had my A/T I longed for a M/T, now that I have a M/T... only in the city do I wish for an auto.

I'll e-mail him when I've got a chance.. loads of other projects on the go right now and I'm not getting much of a breather. If either you or Casey talk to him sooner tell him to swing by this post and see what he says.

You don't have to reflash the ecu to go into incline mode
