Leather Seats

hey guys its my first time on the website i just bought a new genesis coupe 2.0T premium, it didnt have leather seats. but the salesman spent the entire time telling me it was a 1100 dollar option and in the end said he give it to me for cost at a later date. now hes telling me its 1600 and cost is 1200. im thinking its gonna 600 or 700 dollars and that was the basis of me buying the car even before shaking hands i asked "so way less then 1100 right?" and he chuckled and said of course (dont go to brad benson in route 1 east brunswick NJ). i was wondering if anyone knows the actual cost of the leather seats and the regular price. also if anyone knows if its illegal to tell someone that its one price and agree that the cost is gonna be way under 1100 and then say you made a mistake your actually gonna have to pay 1200. i know it was my mistake not to get an exact price but that seems very wrong.

I would go to the sales manger and the to the branch manger
after that if the cost of the seats is not in your contract your f@^%$d
go to the parts guy and get a cost

thanks. i know it wasnt in writing but it was said that it was way lower than 1100 i would think that would be a verbal contract.

but has anyone bought leather seats from the dealership and have any idea how much it costs? also has anyone have the stock navi installed by the dealership and have the price for that? Thanks for the help

if you don't have navi, don't buy the dealer one for two reasons. 1) It's not in the proper spot 2) its stupidly expensive
If you already bought the navi, oh well.. you now have navi.

the dealership is telling me its normally 1600 but since i agreed to cost its 1200 wich is crap cuz they lied to me but ill see if i can threaten them with breach of a verbal contract or something to cancel everything and hopfully drive the price for that down. any idea where its available or how much its gonna be?

Ha! No offense, but you do realize that the leather that they will put on your car is aftermarket right? I used to do most of aftermarket installations at the dealerships around here. Actually, the first Genesis that I test drove was one that I had just put a leather package in. All that BS about $1600 is just the salesman trying to make more commission off of you. Their cost INCLUDING installation might be around $1200 but the kits only go for around 6 or $700. All it is, is Katskin leather. It's nice because it isn't a cover, it replaces your stock cloth, jump rings and all. I'm pretty sure if you tried buying it yourself (not being a rep) it might cost you a little more but honestly it might be more worth it if you just did it yourself. It's really not that hard to install at all.

Try looking on Korean Auto Imports.
They have the GC leather seat conversion package for 5 bills.

Yea if you get the leather kit from Korean auto imorts you can use the rwd5 coupon code to save some cAsh too. They Also have that two tone brown and black seating that's pretty exclusive.
