Arvin's in Korea for 10 days to get VeoCom training and wrap up things with UNavi. Sounds like maybe early April might be about the time it'll be ready.

I'm wondering, the GPS (I know its a beta) seems to run very slow. What are the chances of this working more efficiently in the final product? I also noticed that it took several touches to get a function to do what a single touch should have.

I'm quite interested but those issues have me worried.

From what I can read in the owners manual and knowing what I know about electronics,
It has a SiRF Prima 600MHz processor, main core being an ARM11, this processor is in gear like TomTom's and other GPS units. it has 256MB of mDDR ram at 333, since it's using Windows CE 6.0 as it's OS it's got a fair bit of headroom. I'm going to say that the reason the GPS is slow is because of the software alone, not the unit, which means in future updates there could be performance enhancements. The software from what I've been told is having to be adjusted for the North American market, so like all programing, it'll be glitchy at first.

If you want it more stream lined, you can always edit the OS, Windows CE is very user mod-able. I just wouldn't think you'd have warranty if it got screwed up.

As I said, I'm interested in this, but I'd like to see those bugs/lagging worked out of the system by the final product.

I have a good feeling most of those will be taken care of, so till then, sitting and waiting lol
