why dont they leave the auto/stick in it? isnt that what the racing world is starting to use nowdays anyways? clutchless shifting is way more fun and simpler.

apparently from what I've read the manumatic tranny in the genesis won't hold redlines, it'll auto shift to the next gear as part of its insane "protect itself from everything imaginable" ECU programing.

The automatic transmission with manual mode engaged I have actually had luck getting the rpms up pretty high and holding it. I'm not sure it will shift up for you but it will shift down for you.

LOL you think the automatic trans mission with paddle shifters is what they using in race cars? Its completely differnt... That set up alone will cost as much as a gencoupe... In a GC it is an autotransmission like all auto cars torque converter and all... it just lets you influence the shift alittle more by adding the paddles. Its not a manaul at all. What are in race cars are called Double clutch shiftronic and what it has is a clutch that is controlled by a computer instead of your foot but the clutch is still there. And infact there is 2 which is how its possible to let a computer do it. A real race car wouldnt let a torque converter anywhere near it a torque converter is just a huge power sponge and robs HP.

i'm sorry that is no ways its more fun to drive an auto then a manual gear box...if it is for you its because YOU do not know how to drive it...

sorry but heel toeing into the corner while hard on the brakes takes practice and the coupes pedals felt perfect for doing this...hell even in my elantra i can get it done...

running through the gears in a manual is unlike anything else....especially with this car becaues you are directly connected to the tranny....
