    Default How-To: Install PowerAXEL's UNAVI

I know, yet another unavi thread, this one however is dedicated to how to install your unavi system from PowerAXEL. I've made up my video how-to, if you have any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm also accepting constructive criticism on how to make my video's better... yes I already know I ramble.

DO NOT USE THE UPDATE FEATURE!! UNAVI'S COME FROM POWERAXEL WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE!

    Things to expect:
    -Dimmer no longer works. -FIX
-Display button no longer shuts off monitor. -FIX
-Occasionally Trip Computer freezes. Use 'Reset' button on the usb hub or cycle your cars power.
-No custom backgrounds for Trip display.

    PROPER Mediabox Mounting!

After some redo's and thinking here is the proper way to mount your media box to ensure lots of USB stick room.

    1) Drill hole just below the first curve at the bottom of the glove box

    2) Using double-sided 3M automotive tape, mount Mediabox approximately 1cm(1/2 inch) above drilled hole. If you have already drilled the hole where it was shown in the video, line up the Mediabox to sit over the existing hole. If you have two tipped computer fan screws and a stubby philips, you can screw down the media box to prevent the tape from letting go, use tape in either method to prevent vibration noise.

    3) You should have about this much room. Reinstall glove box if removed, connect cords back into box.

    4) Finished product should look like this. Check connections, turn on uNAVI to confirm operation.

    Type-B Bezel Only!!
To get it to sit flush, you have to cut along the crash pad along the red line, use some side cutters or I just used my boot knife.
Basically cut about 1/8 -1/4 of an inch off.. how ever big your gap is, is how much you cut off.

What it should look like when it's all done:

Great DIY Snoopy, thanks for taking the time to do this. Hope mine comes in the mail next week. Do you mind if I post the Navi and the centre stack remove DIY's on the OGC forums?

absolutely, go right ahead. More views I get the more vids I'll do, don't want to be doing them if no one watches them. Just fyi there's a third part to deal with the lower fitment issue that I'll be doing sometime soon.. it'll be called part 1.5 because you should do it before part 2 but after part 1. it'll get posted here but you'll get the update cause you're subscribed to my channel.

If you want actually you can post any of my reviews or how-to's there. I really don't mind at all. I've been meaning to sign up on your forum as well but forgot with all my little projects recently.
