ARK DT-P Coilover Install and Initial Review PICS INSIDE!!!!

when i got the box with my new ARK coilover i really didn't know what to expect. i knew that i could slam my car with them, because you can buy any cheap coilover and do that, but i wasn't sure how the ride quality would be changed.

i took the coils to a mechanic that was reccomened to me by a friend, when i took them out of my trunk he told me that i made a very good purchase because the DT-P's were very solid and well built. it only took two guys about 45 mins to an hour to get the suspension on the car and start adjusting the height. they said that compared to some other coilovers they have installed, these were fairly easy to adjust. when the car came down from the lift after the final adjustment i couldn't wait to see how it drove.

driving down the street the car felt almost the same as it did on my OEM track suspension, the difference was that it was a touch stiffer and had a much more precise and solid feel. i turned off the block and headed straight for my favorite set of twistys in my neck of the woods to really see if these coilovers were worth the investment.

as soon as i got on the gas and aimed my car into the corners i couldn't stop smiling it was like i was driving a totally different animal. the body roll that is very much present in the stock track suspension was virtually eliminated and the car wanted to stick to the road like i new it was always meant to do.

i am 100% satisfied and happy about getting these coilovers. the car handles better than i ever expected was possible. in complete honesty the only car i've ever driven that could out handle my car on ARK DT-P's is my uncles Porsche 911 Turbo S

and now it's the time you've all been waiting for!!!

have you looked into spacers? with the lower stance the OEM spacing looks just a little off. Otherwise everything is looks really good!

by the way, how the hell do you guys keep your front ends so damn clean?!?

I just got the last set of DT-P coilovers under a semi-sponsorship. Can't wait to get them and post pics and get them installed. Will be at the april 25 car meet , should have them on by then.

and yes spacers are coming in a week or so... I'm getting either 20 or 25mm spacers so I'll be helllllaaa flush

hah I don't know? the car will be 1 year old on April 6th and it has ~20,000 miles too :p

I guess washing it often and the right way helps ;)
on a side note I'm scheduling an appt with my dealership to get the car re-cleared under warranty because the abount of swirrl marks you see upclose is purely unacceptable for a car that's going to be in shows lmao

Wow...that does look good...pretty slammed. Is that that lowest setting possible for the coils?

Yeah...whats the warranty on finishes. Like 7 years or something like that...they are about to redo my front bumper if it acts more.
