    Default Oil Analysis

I dont know where to post this but here it is, move if needed.

    Blackstone Labs

They basically send you a free test kit, and while you are changing your oil or if you have someone do it for you, you fill this tube up and mail it to them, and its like 22 bucks or something like that for the particle report(that you see below), then they send you a report like this.

( please excuse "make up oil" thats suppose to be 0 :P )

    http://www.blackstone-labs.com/report-explanation.php

Click on Gas Report or which ever you like and then hover your mouse over anything in blue and it will explain what it is..ect

I ran this on the Dino Oil that came with my car when I picked it up, I switched to Synthetic now so I cant wait to see the results. Hoping to see better results.

any how a few reasons you would want to do this is to see,
    1. How your oil is performing,
    2. How long can you extend drain intervals if your looking to do that
    3. To see if something is wrong.

and more, When I send my Synth oil in and it comes out clean, then ill send my next oil at 60k, 80k 100k to see if anything is up. But if it still shows something ill send it in again. Or change oils.

Any how there's the heads up if anyone is interested.

if you go to synthetic oil you should never go back to reg. oil.

Many people say this, but the technically you can switch back and fourth no issue. But once you go synthetic why switch back?

According to what I read synthetic oil is better then Dino oil, but there are great debates on this topic. Ill find out in about 300 miles when I send my Synthetic oil in for Analysis. It should show better wear numbers then Dino Oil . I went to the track and did Ten 1/4 Mile pulls on this oil too :P. But other then that I been driving absolutely the same way.

Ill post the results here when I get them
