Anything can be done with enough money... The chassis in the GC is pretty stiff but I have no idea how much of that rigidity is from the upper half. You can always add braces and cross beams but you'll probably end up with a GC weighing 300-400lbs more than it does now.

I like convertibles, especially being in Florida. But I'm actually enjoying the moonroof for the first time in 7 years. I had the t-tops before and the amount of windnoise was distracting on the highway with the tops on. Convertibles are really hard to make sound proof...unless its a hardtop. That would be where I'd consider it.

I've never really liked convertibles and the photoshops I've seen on how the GC would look just isn't my taste.

I think it would make a really sick hard top convertable!!! ;) A nice one though like Lexus or Mercedes does.

My Eos handled like crap, the hard top would always creak and leak and not to mention the weight. Hard top = Lots of body roll

Eh.... makes it look like a Pontiac G6 Convertible now.... Chicks car .... Not for me though I'd keep the coupe anyway. A hard top would be nice but as Quickrabbit mentioned the added weight, it would probably handle like $h!t with all that body roll...

This photo made me do a double take...

I don't know if the GenCoupe could be a hardtop convertable... you'd have to get rid of the back seats because there is barely room for groceries in the trunk let alone a whole roof... but I mean if the Z4 and 370Z can then it should be possible.. I think we'd be more likely to see a targa rather than a full on convertable.
