They MUST have had something in the air that day then. Perhaps a Nitrous leak from a tank nearby or they're crank numbers. There's no way that's wheel HP on stock or lightly moded cars. I'd be willing to bet my car on it. Only way I know of to get crank HP is to estimate or pull the engine...

Those numbers are WAY to high for either of the stock or lightly moded V6 or 2.0T GCs. All the real world dynos people are putting up show the 2.0T having 180-190hp stock and the V6 having 250-260hp stock.

i noticed on their tuned 2.0t (a totally different 2.0t than the one in the official test, this was the one with the Reflash+exhaust+k&n filter) test had a dyno saying the stock dyno was 199.2 whp, but that was a totally different 2T...

so im thinking the gas was swapped with rocket fuel... thats all im saying... vroom vroom...
    Own:
2008 Elantra HD, carbon grey, K&N, rims (sold)
2002 WRB Impreza WRX, its pretty damn fast and thats all i have to say about that...
    own in future:
    2014 Genesis Coupe spec-V.. yeah it will be a V8.... or V10....

either way you look at it, the stock 2.0T is a little weaksauce for output.
shame really, they could have had much more positive response from the 2.0t if they had not detuned it as much as they had.

220 dyno with just stock with premium? the numbers do sound a little stretched, the performance just does not feel like 220 when I try it.
It really does just pull like a Honda civic in stock form.

I plan on putting my 2.0t on the dyno before and after mods (exhaust,intake,reflash)....I will post the numbers I get.

after that is done.....I may get ambitious and invest in a turbo and dive into the internals......that is if I get that ambitious

I think Hyundai had to detune the 2.0T so much so they wouldn't hurt V6 sales. With how easy DynoJet and PowerAxel are making extra power on these cars, I think the V6 is the reason we're so detuned. Hopefully Hyundai can up the specific output of the V6 or drop it all together. Then they can throw their 295/295 direct injection turbo 2.0 at us.

Totally! the V6 is why they detuned the 2.0t so much!
I purchased the 2.0t so I could have some tuner fun with it, but those who are not going to tune theirs will be a bit disappointed with their output.

well all things said....the 2.0t still is a good platform to build a fun car.
rear wheel drive, engine with lots of potential power, and sexy good looks!
