Coming from the STI arena... Shell Rotella T 5W-40 has good reviews. (including from Blackstone and discussion on "Bobistheoilguy"

I've been a Royal Purple user for years. but if the Shell Rotella T is good enough for the STI, I'm thinking it might be a good (inexpensive) option for the GC.

I hear AmsOil is the best. I have reserched all this stuff like nuts, but in the end all Syntetic oils are good but some show better wear numbers then others for specific engines.

For my car since the VQ35DE was used in so many cars. Have gotten many oil analysis using diffrent Oils..ect and they can conclude which are better and which are not as good.

I was going to get AMSoil to start but then when I looked into it they dont sell localy, then I was going to get M1 but then I read that Castrol Syntec was showing some of the best wear numbers out of any oil for my engine, so thats what I am using now.

also some people go 900 to 1200 miles for initial break in on normal oil before switching to synthetic.

    Straight from HMA Service:

    Selection Of Engine Oil
API classification : SL, SM or above
    ILSAC classification : GF3, GF4 or above
    SAE viscosity grade : 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40

So... I'm thinking I'm gonna give the Shell Rotella-T a shot when I shift to syn in my GC...
