Thread: Which Headlight Cleaners can I use for Headlight Condensation?

To get rid of the condensation, take the headlights off at night, remove the caps in the back, and position a fan to blow into the holes overnight. In the morning, it'll be gone.

You can add a bit of silicone to the edges of the headlights to see if that eliminates the problem.

I had that issue with one of my fog lights (actually it was really bad, it flooded)

I'd recommend taking it in for warranty service. They'll fix it.

Did anyone? Not sure. But you certainly take it in for warranty. I forget but I think thats under the 12 Month/12,000 Mile warranty (things such as a radio would be covered under this warranty) or its under the bumper to bumper warranty which is 5 Year/60,000 Miles.

Yea deffinately talk to your dealership about it! I remember David got his fogs replaced for a similar issue. Good luck!

I did call the dealer and they said it was normal!! Some garbage about plastic on plastic. I guess I need to put up a big stink to get them replaced. I work in a body shop and we see this problem with aftermarket fitment. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a mass OEM defect.

That DEFINITELY is not normal. The headlights should be replaced under warranty.

Sorry MK! My bad about the "buddy" thing! I would for sure push the issue about water in the lights. I hope they can take care of you.

Moisture in your headlights is a safety issue, you could be driving at night in the rain, have water hit the bulbs then be in complete darkness. Have you maybe thought that they may be being sexist? When I worked for Ford I noticed a lot of women customers that drove mustangs got treated like idiots because the guys behind the counters had some macho-egotistical view on sports cars.

Thanks Snoopy that is a good point. And I am 24 and look like I'm about 16. I will bring up the point you said about safety. Plus if the bulbs go they are not covered under the warranty. I will take my fiance with me to the dealer next time they condensate.
