My a/c was really bad when I first got the car. Service Dept. purged and re charged system and now it is better but not as cold as my wife's Sonata. Duct Temps are in the mid 40's on Max recirculate after 5 min in the shade but as soon as I switch to the fresh air mode the temp rises to the mid 50's+. The Sonata will stay in the upper 40's to low 50's and get so cold that I have to turn the fan speed down to low.

Mine had a leak from the factory so it had to be evac'd, recharged, and have an o-ring replace. I still thought it took too long to get cold and would blow warm some times.

The service guy told me that the ecu releases the a/c clutch during initial throttle after sitting idle. Supposedly it's a gas saving feature. It sucked pretty bad when it was 110 and I was stuck in stop and go traffic though. Hopefully they fix that in an ECU update before next summer.
