Question Discount Tire for Genesis Coupe

    hey guys
I know the staggered stock rim size for the coupe is front 7.5 and rear 8 inch 5/114 R18
I would like to know if you could put on 8 inch on the front and back without throwing off the traction control or causing any other problems.

I found a pair of rims I like but they only come in 8 inch 5/114 R18 not the staggered size .

    >18''konig zreo-in rims

Having rims of the same width (8") on the front and rear will not throw off your traction control. The traction control works in conjunction with sensors that detect slippage (loss of traction) in the wheels/tires combination that drive the car. Having a wheel of narrower width in the rear will not cause problems for the traction control.

I am going to assume that you will keep the stock tires. You will experience no traction loss from the original stock set up. However, if you change the tires and go with narrower width tires in the rear. You will experience slight traction loss.

which rims do you like , Im stuck between 2 types.
I think I'll get the bronze Tenzo DC-6. or the konig unknown .
I really like the look of the tenzos but there a little more expensive, about 55 bucks more a rim .

You can absolutely use a non staggered size setup for wheels and tires on your Genesis Coupe. Might I recommend checking out two of the big name retailers for discount wheel and tire.

    My favorites are
    Tirerack.com
    Discounttire.com

The sites are also great because they allow you to select your car and see the wheels featured on it! Pretty good deals and shipping doesn't kill either.

By using non staggered size for wheels and tires on your Genesis Coupe that was designed for different size wheels/tires, might that adversely affect the warranty?

I purchased the 3.8 Track because I wanted the bells and whistles and most importantly the m/t. I could have done without the 19" wheels of different sizes, but that's what I got.

My reasoning is; 18" (oe even) 19" tires are less expensive, and if of equal size, can be rotated.

But my question still stands, will going to either 19" or perhaps 18" wheels and tires, mess with the warranty?
