CMD Tuner Help
Hey all,
New to the form, the world of Turbos, and real tuners. I have used the pre programmed chips and programmers which consist of yes/no buttons. I have never used something as complicated as this CMD Tuner.
So with that out of the way I am not writing this to be called an idiot and be told I do not know what the hell I am doing. Cause when it comes to this I don't know what I am doing yet but am here to try to find some help. I would like to think I am literate enough to use the device once I know how to use it.
What I have installed on the car
Intake, BOV and Glow Shift Boost/Vacuum gauge. On its way to the house is the Glow Shift Air/Fuel gauge. Still have to save a bit more for the wideband O2 sensor
A few things
1. Can I install and play around with the tuner before getting the Wideband O2 Sensor?
2. Where the heck are the instructions for this tuner? Sure it came with install instructions but that seems to be the easy part (more about that in a minute) I have been online and found one pdf, so I downloaded it and read it. I read you should first calibrate the throttle position. Okay wonderful the pdf tells me how to get there but do you just connect the laptop, start the car, go to "Device Tools" then click "Calibrate". What then, does it do it on its own do you let the car run for 1 minute, Ten minutes an Hour, do you drive the car around the block? The pdf fails to mention this... They sell this as an aftermarket mod. but only give you installation instructions. I mean common this thing seems as though you can make or break your engine and there is not even a tuning for dummies manual??? or at the very least you would think the "Help" menu woudl have a getting started section???
3. so back to the install instructions and seems easy. or is it??? Being the harness has no specific labels on it can you mix up the TPS and the MAP sensors being they are the same connection? Do the injector cables have to go in any specific order?
Any help is appreciated.

No instrustion, just lots of time on the phone with dynojet helps.
You really need the o2 sensor to tell if your running lean or rich, if you want to tune on your own.
When you calibrate it your supposed to go from about 2000 rpms to al least 6000 in third or fourth to get a good reading not a minute or ten run.
When you lay the harness down the center of the engine, all connectors pretty much fall into place.
