Default What to get on first mod

Hi, everyone! I'm very sorry for the terrible and probably time-wasting question but, as you can see from my username, I'm clueless about these things. I love cars but looking at them is the most I could do. I recently purchased a 3.8 base model with automatic transmission and want to steadily increase the performance step-by-step. So... what would your suggestion be? Thank you very much in advance for all the valuable advice any one of you would be offering! Good day and safe driving!

I recommend an AEM Cold Air Intake or possibly a nice cat back exhaust system to make some good power for a few hundred dollars. If you wanted to go beyond that you may consider doing some light weight wheels to save some weight and maybe get some suspension work such as lowering springs or coilovers to handle the road better.

Wow! Thank you! Would you also recommend installing a k&n air filter? A friend of mine and I were talking a few days ago and he suggested I get one

Wait I just read that the aem cold air intake is a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. Does that mean my previous question is irrelevant?

    yup it does.

AEM has a really good filter too, it's dry flow which means the dirt and dust that builds up on it can't cake on making things worse.

As Casey said, get the AEM intake, top notch quality and in my opinion worth every penny.

The k&n filter is a decent upgrade if you don't want to touch anything on the car really but the cold air intake from aem is such an easy install and makes much more power and better sound.

Thanks for all the help! I'll be getting the AEM CAI once I've saved enough money for it If you don't mind, I'd like to ask about the front grill. I feel like the grill is kind of out of place in such a nice vehicle. Any suggestions? Thanks again in advance! I would not get tired of expressing my gratitude to you guys!

As far as exterior goes, yes CHANGE the plastic grill. Most of us like to take the emblems completely out of the equation or get the wings... aka genesis emblems. What color is your vehicle and what color schemes are you looking to go with. Most people on here changed theirs out for a black grill for a more racing look. I personally am going for a little of an elegant look (if that's possible). But there are many options for grill change and it is a pretty inexpensive change for the upgrade in appearance it will give you!! IMO
