LOL WOW! Quite the interesting find! I feel pretty terrible for everyone that dropped big dollars on the ARK exhaust systems and headers..... I do also remember reading about several other people who bought the ARK headers and they didnt fit right, made the car sound terrible etc.... I'll admit their marketing is very impressive and with the SEMA car pretty much stealing the show, it made me want to go that route. Now after this they better make up for their issues or else they will lose a lot of business.

My guy from Exhaust Depot said that almost all of these companies that do exhaust systems like Injen, ARK, etc... are all made in the same Chinese factory using cheap grade pipe etc... they just polish them up and market the hell out of em.

It seems like taking the time to go to a true performance shop and getting a custom piece done is the best and smartest way to make some power!

im not sure if injen is really made in china. they make their intakes in house i think. ive been pming the person from importshark. he said that they make their exhaust in the US. ive been thinking about getting the injen exhaust. its more in my price range and he also said that injen 7ism and ARK are pretty similar design.

keep in mind that there was no proof provided with the accusations.

I am not defending either party involved but there seem to be a lot of people who want to judge without any proof being shown.
so they took apart the fancy exhaust.
What is not shown is that the fancy gizmo works for higher throttle and WOT to reduce drone.
I did not see any testing to prove that it did not work.....or that it does indeed work for that matter.
all I saw was a hole plugged and nothing was tested and shown. its like saying your butt dyno is better than the real thing.

show me proof, sound tests at different rev ranges, and dyno sheets.
just pointing fingers and calling people out is not something any professional shop should do without "proof"
makes me wonder if something else they installed did not create a loss of power.

I install a lot of exhausts.....and I have seen a lot of crappy stuff.
so far I have not seen anything about the ARK exhaust to show me that it is not a "good" exhaust.
overpriced.....well that's up to the person buying the exhaust.

As Phatdhad said, until there is proof that the vendor's product isn't as advertised, it shouldn't be considered fact.
I don't own a single Ark product (and honestly don't plan to) but someone making bold claims on design and construction principles while having no evidance to back it up is blatently ignorant.

Before I started making my own exhaust, I was looking at Borla, and honestly, still am if mine doesn't go as planned.

Did ARK ever release motor shots of their SEMA coupe that was supercharged? The one with the custom wide body kit?
