Default What do you think about this...

Hey all, haven't posted is awhile. Figure I'd ask for everyones opinion on this. I went the dealership today to do some shopping. Spent about an hour BSing with the salesmen; test drive, went over the car, tried finding the one I wanted, etc. So, I found something out today that really shocked me (I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for this). I didn't know Hyundai eliminated the Track edition in the 2.0T model and made it only in automatic for 2011. So, feeling it was the end of the Genesis Coupe quest, I thanked the sales rep and started to walk for the door with my head slung low. He asked me why I want the 2.0 so badly, I told him why, but he stopped me when I said, "I can't afford the 3.8L model." He said, "What if I could make it so you could?" It should go without saying, he had my attention. Anyways, we sat down and went over numbers. They decided on giving me the invoice price which was $26,280.00 before tax and dealership addons for a White 2011 3.8L Manual Track edition. We talked a little more and he was even willing to take off more and possibly give me money for my old POS car.

I was really geared for the 2.0T. Most of my knowledge is based around smaller engines and turbos. Do you think this is a good enough deal to forget the other stuff and start fresh. Plus, I'm also worried about fuel economy and engine maintenance. I've always hated V6s due to their awkward placement. Let me know what you think and ask any questions that might help you with your opinion. Thanks in advanced.

Well, the 3.8 is harder to make more power on, but you get more right off the lot.
26k seems like a decent deal, but you should always buy cars under the invoice price, so I'd try to get a bit lower.

As far as the trade in, you'd get a lot more if you sell it yourself, but that's a hassle, so it's personal choice I guess. Make sure you check KBB.com for current value of your POS.
