    Default hyundia

I wanted to buy my own synthetic oil for my next oil change but wasn't sure which weight to buy. So I call hyundai direct customer service. They get all your info to make sure you are who you are then give you a case number???? really. Then put you on hold for 5 mins. Just to come back and tell you. "Well I just called the dealership and they said 5w- 20. I could of done that but wanted hyundai's opinion and not the dealers. Sorry I have dealer issues. Lesson of the day. Hyundai's contact us by phone (800) 633-5151 customes service number is useless....

I do my best to have the dealer change my oil too. 5w-20 Full synthetic and typically what my dealership uses which I believe is Mobil 1. Haven't tried any others but I hear loads of good things about Royal Purple.

And FYI, what type of oil used is written on the cap under your hood, to the left of your engine hat right at the front.

I already did. I was even asked if I was sure I wanted to use full synthetic so early in my km's.

Odd Hyundai calls for blended. So your dealer goes above and beyond. Lucky you. Maybe it's only the dealers down here that suck

I had my oil changed there once and I asked for synthetic, waited for the change then got in my car and drove off. I kid you not.. it felt sluggish. The engine just felt lazy compared to before the oil change, so I called them and asked if they put synthetic in and they were like "nope, I forgot to write that on the work report, come back and we'll fix it right" I did, and they did.

I let the dealer do my oil changes but I don't trust that if I say use synthetic that they'll put it in.

Meg do what I do. Bring your own oil to the dealer. They will charge you labor and for the filter only
