KP Tech said they would modify the module for no charge.

BUT I tried my switch idea and it works. Just tap into the green and white/black wire and inset some sort of maintained switch.

If you want to permanently disable it then just connect a wire between the two and it will always be off when you start. With the switch though you can turn it back on if you want.

Here are pics of the wire diagram and the temp wires I used to test.

And here is a $2 switch from Radio Shack that would work and be easy to install.

I had an old rocker switch laying around so I used it. The RS one would be much easier to install as all you need is to drill a hole in the panel. With the rocker switch you have to cut a 1" x 0.5" hole. The rocker switch sends a +12v pulsed output. Now to toggle the ESC on and off you just toggle the add on switch. The stock switch is useless now.

Remind me again..... why are you going through all this? What is the ultimate goal here?

Yes, but that doesn't speak to the whole TC intervention issue.
Why are additional controls needed to optimize the traction control?
Isn't it a simple matter of turning it on when needed & off when not desired?
What is lacking in the system that additional components are being installed?

I don't want it on. I wish it was not on my car. Next is desoldering the SMD.

OK, I got it. You just want it gone. I thought there was already a switch to turn it off.

If that's all you want I could have given you my bad brake light switch

I want it off by default. Don't need broken parts.

Thanks for the posts Red...keep us informed. I might look to do the same down the road.

It's nice and all having the switch to turn it on or off, but if you want it off 90% of the time, it's a pain to have to hit the switch every time you start the car. I'd much prefer the switch work in reverse, like what Red is doing, where it's off UNLESS you want it on since the majority of the time I want it off.

Anyone else notice the factory switch tends to not work sometimes if you don't press it hard enough?
