What to buy... some advice?
Hi everyone, I have to head to the dealership to chose my genesis, the options available here are 2.0t manual, or, 3.8 at, both on basic trims(and still its twice as expensive as in the US)
which would you choose?
can you get the 2.0t to match the 3.8 hp improving turbo and computer only, or is it better just to buy the 3.8? and live happy with the 306 hp?
your insight will be appreciated!

I've heard that the 2.0T has a lot of room to improve but i'd get the 3.8... You cant beat more HP

You can get the 2.0T to V6 levels but it will require intake, full turboback exhaust, and a retune. Once you have those mods and some new injectors you're setup for a turbo swap and 300+whp which is equal to about 360hp as the marketing guys use it. If you're not into modding a lot then I'd stick with the 3.8 since it's got a good bit of power from the factory.

thanks, I will keep it in mind!
I am into modding, I just dont trust the locals, they dont have the aproppiate equipment... a potential risk to f.ck up your ride!
I will buy the 3.8, it gives me more peace of mind

Buy in the US
Hey Just thought I would let you know I got the 3.8 in the US for what you would pay for the 2.0 in Canada.

Oh! no Warranty but you can bring it to a local US dealership and they will cover so if you are 1 or 2 hours from the boarder it is worth it. If the car is as good as my old acura which never seen the shop in 4 years then no big deal. I am expecting this car to have few if any probelms.

get the 2.0 and do the upgrade. You'll hate that rearend
