    Default Catback Exhaust

Has anybody bought and installed their own catback exhaust system? I am looking for one to install but don't know which brand to get, or if they are easy to install. I would like to save some money for other things for my GenCoupe, buut they are expensive.

catback is an easy install. If you're not putting it on a lift, getting the right leverage is your worst problem. Its a bolt on part. a few bolts, and getting rubber hangers on and off. I just ordered my CP-E catback, so now I have the full turbo back exhaust. As for which brand you want to get, you need to decide if you are price oriented or quality oriented. Also, they all sound different. Find the sound you like and buy it. If you are into performance get one with minimal restrictions and minimal bends and turns.

Wingman. If you go to a reputable shop it will cost about the same to have an exhaust installed. Most shops have relationships with manufacturers, or distributors so they can get parts for less. If you buy the exhaust from a shop, and have them install it, you will have less warranty issues.

Save a CAI for yourself. Especially if you're inexperienced

To me, all the catback systems for the Coupe is crazy expensive. Ranging from $900-1500 from what I've seen. Yes you're getting all that nice and shiny stainless steel, but wow that's a lot of money.

Even the axleback's are close to $700 with shipping.

    I just don't know..lol.

I just preordered the ARK for my 3.8 a couple days ago. Shame, missed the first group by a couple of weeks, looking at April.

Great sounding exhaust, have a lot of clips, and very easy people to talk to.

Been told its pretty easy install, even without a lift. IT just becomes a 2 person job with some carpet laid under the car. Its do-able lol

    Default warranty

Hey my names andrew and I was wondering does a catback exhaust void warranty? And does an intake?

    Andrew,

You should have no problem adding a catback exhaust and intake to your vehicle while maintaining your warranty. The only problem I could see would be possibly adding a cold air intake and in the event that you drove through some big puddles and sucked water into your engine. That of course would not be covered by warranty.
