Mine is not interesting, though pretty geeky. I needed a callsign in a video game back in high school (XWing vs Tie Fighter!) and went with Firefox. I used that as a tag for a while. Then the damn web browser that I'm using right now came out. Since I'm a software developer I switched it to Codefox and have been using that as my online handle ever since.

Two funny stories there...I for years wanted firefox.com. It used to be some guy's personal website that he hadn't updated for years. I was going to contact him to get it when his domain was getting close to expiring...but shortly before I got a chance, the browser came out and he donated it to them. I was so mad...I wouldn't have been so generous. (I get it from my Jewish side...which would be both sides!)

And then, later, since I had been using thefirefox.com as my domain for years before Firefox was a browser, I just kept it. Well, I'm a software developer and when I graduated from UF, one of the places I wanted to work at the time was Microsoft. I had a contact inside through a friend and when they got my resume and saw my "thefirefox.com" domain on my email, they told me to change it because Microsoft wouldn't like that I supported a competitor's product. Which caught me offguard (Firefox was still new and I had been using that for at least 3 or 4 years by then)

So doesn't make my story any less geeky...
