Is this a lease?
It all started out when i was just looking into the gc...i was set on the 2.0 track and they did not have one... i had previously been to a different hyundai dealer on my way home from a mall and stopped at white plains hyundai...they didnt have the car either but made plans to get one....instead of making plans...curry just pushed and pushed and pushed the 2.0 premium on me...although a bit annoying....wasnt a huge deal. At White plains hyundai...they quoted me a 3 year lease at 299/month....i was going with white plains...but they said the car fell through the cracks and they cud not find it...considering that curry is much closer to me i did not mind...curry quoted me at 315...a considerable jump but still a pretty good price...I put down a 2,000 dollar security deposit that i wud be getting back when the car is in..
(note that i made a huge deal that i was putting no money down....the 2 grand was clearly just a deposit i wud be getting back and it was fully understood)
the car gets in and they tell me some BS that the car will now cost 410/month....now im pissed...at this point ive been waiting 3 months for this damn car and have had enough....after about a week long battle they bring it back down to 370, which is still BS....the car finally arrives...and they tell me that the security deposit was actually a down payment and i still owe them 3 grand to get my payments down to 370....long story short i get asked to leave and i made a scene on the way out...
I get a call a few hours later that said theyll give me my deposit back and pay the first two payments and my payment will be 417
Im so furious i cant deal with it anymore and just agree and take my car away...thinking my troubles wud be done
The first day i get my car i have condensation in my headlights....i bought it in the next day and they didnt see anything and cudnt find a problem...more BS
So today i have more condensation in my headlight and i figured i might as well get the revhang fixed since hyundai offers a reflash...
Right off the bat they tell me they havnt heard of such a thing but i bought a print out with me cuz i figured this wud happen....I come back around 5 hours later...and "they didnt find anything wrong with my headlight" and wudnt fix the revhang because of a BOV....i f'ing lost it....Ive had a revhang since day 1 literally...and this guy was really telling me that he was "getting a reading from the BOV" which meant it was causing the problem.....
more like he didnt want to spend time doing sumthing he dint know how to do.....and now im stumped...

Do a Google search for New York's Lemon Law.
Basically, if you have an unresolved problem with your car, document that problem, & try in good faith to have that problem fixed but the dealer is unable to satisfactorily make repair, you can bring the care back for a refund.
I have a friend in NY who's trunk kept leaking whenever it rained. The dealer could not stop the leak and after 3 attempts, she was able to return the car based on the Lemon Law.
In Florida, where I live now, the dealer must give you all that info when you buy the car as well as some handouts.
I'd start documenting problems, taking pictures, move into the dealer's parking lot if necessary & put the car in for warranty service every morning & document their failure to correct your issues, & learn everything I could about New York's Lemon Law & let the dealer hear the words "lemon law" over & over again.
Start here: New York Lemon Law Statutes - New Car
Good luck.
definatly some useful info man i appreciate it...ill get it started today lol

They stupid. NY has so many consumer protection laws its ridiculous. Just be vigilant. If they don't come correct. Take em to court based on the lemon law act and also price gouging. New york is one state where they cannot charge you more than an agreed price. Once you set a contract you must stick to it. Changing any terms legally voids that contract.
I wish they were as protective here in tx as they were back home. Texas is where corporate america is free to rape and sodomize the consumer with no gel and suffer no consequences. But what can you expect when corporations don't even have to abide by federal labor laws here either. Deregulation at its worst. Lol. Anyway I will tell all my peeps back home to "stay away from curry hyundai"...
"If we, the consumer don't stick together. Issues like this will remain common practice. You can be next???"
